The Therapist

Tammy LaFournaise, LMT graduated at the top of her class with a degree in Massage Therapy from the Williston State College in 2011 and has offered therapeutic massage to the Parshall, ND & Minot, ND areas since then. Her therapy has helped people relieve the pain of injuries, stress, and body discomfort, as well as maintain good bodily and mental health. She is licensed by the North Dakota Board of Massage. She is also certified in Deep Tissue, Frozen Shoulder Release, Pregnancy Massage and Body Wraps.

She happily helps a wide variety of clients ranging from individuals looking for relaxation, to someone seeking a body wrap, to serious injuries and specific troubled areas. She offers Swedish, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Hot Bamboo modalities but her specialty is Deep Tissue. She incorporates hot towels into the treatment, to allow muscles to relax for deeper work and to pamper her clients. Although she loves witnessing firsthand the healing benefits of massage, she also offers Spa Treatments including facelift massage, body wraps, and paraffin treatments.

Tammy decided to study massage after a 15 year career in the Information technology field. She found that fixing and fighting computers all day just left her stressed out at the end of the day, and couldn't just leave work at work. After receiving a massage as a gift, she experienced the stress relieving and muscle melting benefits and fell in love with massage; from that point on, it rang in her head.. "why not love my job and truly make a difference?". So she decided to make the change in her career and absolutely loves it. She says "I have seen firsthand how much massage alleviates pain and it matters that I'm making a difference".

Her massage business, "Knead To Relax" started in Parshall, ND and recently opened a second location in Minot, ND (which is now her primary location). In addition to running her Massage business out her home, she has provided chair massages at numerous Health Fairs and provided "positive posture in the workplace" demonstrations for multiple office classes a local community college, and on-site corporate massage .

Tammy understands the importance of continuing education and her future plans are to expand her knowledge in many areas, including head/neck, sacrum, and more shoulder work. Tammy's most important quality in her work is that she truly cares about her clients and their journey in finding relief for pain and stress in their lives.
